Okotoks Oiler's defenseman Jacob Bernard-Docker has committed to the NCAA Division I University of North Dakota Fighting Hawks.

The 16-year-old, is in his first season with the Oiler's having played 46 games scoring 6 goals and adding 12 assists.

The Oiler's expect he'll be with them for the remainder of the this season and next.

Bernard-Docker becomes the fifth player from the Oiler's who's committed to the Fighting Hawks following in the footsteps of Brad Eidsness, who was drafted in the 5th round by the Buffalo Sabres, Corban Knight, also drafted in the 5th round by the Florida Panthers, Derek Rodwell, another 5th rounder chosen by the New Jersey Devils, and most recently Rhett Gardner who was taken in the 4th round by the Dallas Stars.
