Nanton's Clay Elliot punched his ticket to the Stampede rodeo finals set for Sunday, July 15, as the saddle bronc rider finished first overall as the Pool "A" cowboys wound up their four days of competition Monday, July 9.

He was third Monday.

Big Valley's Zeke Thurston finished second in the aggregate.

In bareback, Airdrie's Jake Vold, finished fourth and will head straight to Sunday's finals as well.

Nanton tie down roper Logan Bird, will head to "Wild Card Saturday" as he finished out of the top four.

Same story for Strathmore bull rider, Scott Schiffner, who was bucked off for the fourth straight day.

Pool "B" competitors take to the infield Tuesday, July 10.

Cochrane's Tanner and Straws Milan are about the only locals taking part in Pool "B" action, as they'll try their luck in Steer Wrestling.

A couple of Consort, Alberta cowboys will compete with the Milan's, in Scott Guenthner and Brendan Laye.

Milo's Chet Deitz will compete in novice bareback.

And Ponoka's Zane Lambert's in Bull Riding.
