A second place finish for a couple of local athletes at the Youth Commonwealth games in the Bahamas.

Both High River's Carmen Izyk and Vulcan's Keyara Wardley play for the Okotoks Lions rugby squad along with their respective high school teams, the Highwood Mustangs for Izyk and the Vulcan Hawks for Wardley.

But they did well in the Bahamas as they led Team Canada to a 4-and-1 record in the Women's Rugby Seven's, before losing to the Australians in the gold medal final 31-5.

Vulcan's Keyara Wardley, and teammate, Khadija Brouillette from Ontario celebrate their Silver Medal win.
