The Lomond Lakers are hoping to put an eight game losing skid in their rearview mirror with a couple of wins this weekend.

Lakers Coach Mike Glawson says they've had a pretty punishing schedule the first half of the season.

"You know at this level too, I mean, some of the guys, to be quite honest with you, I mean they don't come in the greatest shape as it is and you know that we've had a lot of three game in three night weekends. Not making any excuses, but you know we're going through a little bit of the injury bug as well and that's definitely taking a toll on us for sure."

The Lakers are in Bassano Friday, December 7, to take on the Blackfalds Wranglers, before travelling to Red Deer Sunday, December 8, to face the Red Deer Vipers.
