The Lomond Lakers may be out of the playoffs in the Heritage Junior "B" Hockey League, but their goalie, Brady Newton, did manage to win the final Player of the Week award.

And it was well deserved, as he stopped all 56 shots he saw in the Lakers 3-0 shut-out of the High River Flyers Friday, February 8 at the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex.

It's the ninth time this season Newton turned aside 50 or more shots in a game.
