It's all over but the crying for the Lomond Lakers after their first season in the Heritage Junior "B" Hockey League.

The Lakers wound up the season over the weekend and Coach and G.M., Brad Koch says with a new arena scheduled to be built over the summer in Lomond, they're excited about actually playing in Lomond next season, and they're not alone.

"Even the northern teams, they're already asking me "When's the home opener in Lomond? We want to be the first team to play in Lomond." And like, Lomond's a small community, and I hate to say it, there's nothing to do in Lomond and if hockey comes back, it'll be packed every night. I'm guaranteeing it."

Koch says he'll spend the Summer scouting and looking for a new Head Coach.
