Calgary's Kevin Koe had to take the long road, but it got him where he wanted to go as he's headed back to the Brier thanks to two big wins Sunday, February 10, at the Boston Pizza Cup, Alberta Men's Curling Playdowns in Edmonton.

He got past two time Alberta Champ, Brendon Bottcher in the semi's 7-5 and then beat out Ted Appleman 9-5 in the final.

Koe is a three time Brier champ.

The 2019 Brier gets going Saturday, March 2, in Brandon, Manitoba.
