The Holy Trinity Academy Knights football squad are basking in the glow of their Provincial title.

The Knights won their first ever Tier II title Saturday, November 23, beating the Austin O'Brien Crusaders, 35-3.

Coach Matt Hassett says they were missing their starting running back for the game, which gave them some concern.

"You know we we're a little worried going in, not having Noah Gutek, who is arguably our best player. He was out with concussion symptoms from the last game. So, we just didn't want to take a chance. He's got a lot of football to play later on. So, it was really good for the guys to be able to perform like that without one of our best players."

Hassett, says the win started and ended with their offensive and defensive lines.

"They made plays and also just allowed our linebackers to flow and get after people. And the offensive line, I thought dominated the line of scrimmage for the most part. Everyone played really well. I'm proud to be a part of it."

Hassett says so far there's no celebration planned for the team's big win at the school.
