Ross Knight captured his first WPCA title of the season, as he edged out Codey McCurrach, Vern Nolin and Kurt Bensmiller in the "Dash for Cash" final in Dawson Creek at the "Battle of the North." Sunday, August 12.

Coming off the four barrel, Knight actually finished second to McCurrach, but he took a one second penalty for starting ahead of the barrels, giving Knight the title and the $10,000 as the "Dash for Cash" winner

High River's Jason Glass finished sixth in Sunday's races, followed by Okotoks Mark Sutherland in 13th, High River's Jordie Fike in 18th and Okotoks Dayton Sutherland in 34th.

Bensmiller takes a brand new GMC truck for finishing first in the aggregate.

Fike was also presented with the Kenn Borek Most Sportsmanlike Driver award.

The drivers head to Rocky Mountain House for their final races of the season starting Thursday at the "Battle of the Rockies."
