The High River Flyers host their annual Eli Gosselin Memorial game Friday, February 2, when the Okotoks Bisons come to town.

Eli's Dad, Randy Gosselin says it's still a bit of a struggle, even four years later, dealing with Eli's death, but the results of the game are a great reminder of his son.

"It's getting a little easier as time goes on. But there's a purpose behind it, and that's sort of what drives it. And that's to make sure that the kids in that junior program have a chance to pursue a post secondary education or help them starting up a small business."

During the game there's plenty of prizes and other give-a-way's going on.

There's a puck toss between the 1st and 2nd periods.

A prize for puck closest to centre dot is $500 cash (donated by Eli Gosselin Scholarship Fund) and four Flames tickets (donated by Randy Gosselin)

The first 150 paid admissions will receive a numbered puck, and at the first intermission, those 150 people will line up at the SW & SE doors onto the ice, and take turns tossing their pucks towards the centre ice dot.

After everyone has thrown, closest to the dot wins the prize.

The regular 50/50 draw winner will also be given four Calgary Hitmen tickets, as an extra prize..

And the team is also debuting their new cash raffle on Friday night, to be drawn at the annual golf tourney in June.

$10 per ticket with payout's of $2500/$1500/$1000 for first, second and third.

Only 999 tickets being printed.

Proceeds to both the Eli Gosselin Scholarship Fund and the High River Flyers.
