For the second straight year, Gary Gorst is the Strathmore Stampede Champion.

He edged out High River's Jason Glass to claim the title and says being able to do it with his sons, Logan and Dustin, is a pretty big deal.

"There's 35 other guys that could win this show in a heartbeat. To do it twice, I'm very proud of it, and as a dad it's a dream come true to race with my two sons."

Okotoks Mark Sutherland was 12th, while High River's Jordie Fike was 23rd and Okotoks Dayton Sutherland 28th.

It's a quick turn-a-round for the drivers as they now load up and head back to the Peace Country for the "Battle of the North" starting Wednesday, August 9, in Dawson Creek.
