Fundraising for their trip to Sweden has been a big part of the lives of four Turner Valley curlers and their families for the better part of the last year.

The Jacob Libbus foursome out of the Oilfields Curling Club held a dinner and dance Saturday, February 3, in Turner Valley to raise cash for the trip.

Jacob, who skips the team, says it's kept him and his teammates busy.

"I actually didn't realize just how much work we'd have to do, but all the work we've been doing so far seems like it's worth it."

A packed house at the Turner Valley Golf Club Saturday enjoyed a feast of Swedish favourites prepared by the boys mother's.

The curlers themselves made sure everyone had a full water glass and cleaned up after the dinner to show their appreciation for those lending a hand with their financial support.

All the boys were kept busy during the night, with the crowd really appreciating their hard work.

Libbus, along with Liam Purcell, Pacen Anderson and Nick Warkman head to Sweden for the Nordic Curling Tour starting Monday, April 23.

Jacob Libbus and his team thank those who filled the Turner Valley Golf Club's tournament room Saturday for their fundraising dinner and dance.
