The High River Flyers ended their weekend on a sour note in the Heritage Junior "B" Hockey League.

They were dumped 8-2 by the Copperheads down in Coaldale Sunday, September 16.

They're 1-and-1 to start the season, thanks to a 4-1 win over the Three Hills Thrashers in their opener Friday, September 14 at home.

The Okotoks Bisons opened the season with a couple of road wins, 5-0 over the Mountainview Colts Saturday, September 15 in Didsbury and then 10-0 Sunday, September 16, in Ponoka over the Stampeders.

The Lomond Lakers, play their season opener Friday, September 21, in Three Hills against the Thrashers.
