There were plenty of games on the evening of November 10 in the Heritage Junior "B" Hockey League, with three locals teams hitting the ice.

To start, the High River Flyers couldn't make it happen out in Stettler against the Lightning.

The Lightning took down the Flyers, ending the game 6-3.

With their recent loss, the Flyers move to 6W-11L and 1 overtime loss on the season.

The High River hockey club will now have a few days off, before hitting the ice again at home in the Bob-Snodgrass Rec-plex as they host the Cochrane Generals on November 16 at 8 p.m.

Meanwhile, the Okotoks Bisons can chalk up an exciting win over the Thrashers in their recent foray in Three Hills.

The Bisons closed the game with a 12-1 win, taking 44 shots at the Thrashers netminder.

The next game for the Okotoks team will be a contest against the Lomond Lakers this Friday November 16, on their home ice in the Claresholm Arena at 8:30 p.m.

As for the Lakers, their pairing with the Stampeders out in Ponoka was a close match.

However, the Lakers took the win, ending the game 5-4.

Both teams tied each other in shots on net, with 38 shots at each others goalies.

The Lakers next game is another match-up against their season nemesis the Cochrane Generals in the Claresholm arena,on November 11 at 5:15 p.m.

After losing their previous two pairings against the Generals, the Lakers will be looking for some revenge this time around.
