The High River Flyers are kicking their season into high gear as they took home two wins in two games this weekend in the Heritage Junior "B" Hockey League.

They defeated the Red Deer Vipers 4-1 Saturday, October 28, on the road.

Goalie Chantz Vinick stopped 34 shots in the win.

Joel Nalder scored twice while Davis Sheldon and Michael McTighe had singles for the Flyers.

The team also beat the North Division leading Airdire Thunder 7-4 Friday, October 27, as they they hosted their "Pink the Rink" fundraiser.

Next up they host the Strathmore Wheatland Kings Friday, November 3, at 8 o'clock at the Rec-Plex.

Then they hit the road for games Saturday, November 4 in Medicine Hat and then it's back to Okotoks for a date with the first place Bisons, Sunday, November 5 at 1:15 p.m at the Murray Arena.
