There's going to be baseball being played at both Seaman Stadium and Tourmaline Field Tuesday, May 26.

But it's only for practice, and will be for a limited number of Dawgs and Dawgs Academy players.

The Dawgs had their "Safety First Practice Plan" approved Monday, May 25, and will have players back on the field Tuesday.

However, that doesn't mean a baseball season is a sure thing, as the Dawgs and the Western Canadian Baseball League continue to follow the guidelines set out by health officials.

The Dawgs are hoping to play this year, and if they get the go ahead are looking to fire up the season in early July.

The league's board of governors will meet in the next few days to make a final decision on whether or not they'll go ahead with this season.
