The Okotoks Bisons may be in top spot in the Heritage League's South Division, but they're far from perfect.

They'd been giving up a ton of power play goals the first few games of the season, something Coach Chris Beston wanted to get under control.

He says he has.

They bought in and they did exactly what we asked them to do. And I think Red Deer went 2-for-6 with the man advantage, and I think Airdrie went 1-for-8. We've cut down our penalties and our penalty killers came up big for us."

Those numbers may not sound like a reduction, particularly with 14 man advantage situations over two games, but for the Heritage League, it's a significant change.

The Bisons are home to Strathmore and High River this weekend.
