The Willow Creek Cobras picked up their first Provincial Tier IV football title in 11 years Saturday, November 25 in Lacombe, with a 42-0 win over the Cold Lake Royals.

Coach Tim Bryson says while they're enjoying the win, it's sparked some furious debate.

"We enter into the discussion of whether or not this is the best Cobras team in history and when you look at the overall record and the final result, it is. But then you can play the parlour game of debating with kids from previous teams on various parts of their teams that were really powerful as well, but just couldn't get over the hump."

The Cobras amassed a 9-and-1 season, shutting out opponents five times along the way.
