Delburne, Alberta's John Walters picked up his second WPCA win in the last three weeks Sunday, August 13, at the "Battle of the North" in Dawson Creek.

He did it by doing something in the "Dash for Cash" final that most driver's wouldn't normally do.

"I got to pick barrels first, and I picked barrel four. And everybody thought I was crazy doing it, but you know, that's the outfit that's been firing for more. So I thought ,you know what, if a guy stubs a toe a little bit inside of me and these guys (his horses) fire up like they have been, you know I've got a good chance of trying to get out to the rail by the corner."

High River's Jordie Fike wound up a solid week with the sixth fastest time Sunday.

Okotoks Dayton Sutherland was 25th, his dad, Mark Sutherland was 27th, while High River's Jason Glass finished a distant 33rd.

The driver's now head to Rocky Mountain House for the final race of the season starting Thursday, August 17.
