Our Member of Parliament for Foothills, John Barlow announced the official launch of the Foothills Youth Advisory Committee this past week and it was a pleasure to have Erin Porter the Chair of the Foothills Youth Advisory Commitee come in.

It is the vision of the Youth Advisory Committee to be a non-partisan community link between the youth of Foothills area and Federal Government representatives and she says the Youth Council shows that our constituency cares about our young people and it gives youth a place to discuss issues that matter to them in a non-partisan and productive environment.

This is such a great plan that will help youth across the Foothills between the ages of 14-24 grow, learn and continue to contribute to our society – resulting in a better future for all Canadians.

The Youth Advisory Committee wants to bring new energy and ideas and to be a voice for the youth of the community. Applications are being accepted now until April 27th. Once selected, the council will meet several times through the year to discuss issues that matter to you and your community.

Our community can benefit from your or your youths expertise, enthusiasm and pride in our prairie towns here in Southern Alberta. Join today by visiting: JohnBarlowMP.ca/foothills-youth-advisory-committee/
