Many residents of High River have expressed concern about a wayfinding sign that went up a couple of months ago.

Mayor Craig Snodgrass says the sign, at the corner of 1st Street West and 4th Avenue by the CIBC, will be taken care of.

"Council has agreed to pull that existing sign out and have it replaced with one that makes a lot more sense for that area and doesn't have near the blind spot but still achieves what we want to with the whole wayfinding program," he says.

"It's a big, wide sign and does create quite a blind spot on that corner, there's no question so we'll get it removed and get the new one in when we can."

Now that the weather is warming up, he hopes it can be taken down soon and the new one put up when it arrives.
