The Okotoks Dawgs pulled out all the stops in a slug fest with the West Division leading Lethbridge Bulls Friday night.

After falling behind 10-7 heading into the bottom of the ninth, new comer Michael Gretler hit a three run home run in his Dawgs debut to tie it and then it was Tyler Mildenberg hitting the walk-off RBI single scoring Brenden Rose for the 11-10 'W'.

Mildenberg says it was tough battle against their rivals but found a way to come through with a character win.

"All night we were just fighting all night and had to scratch runs around," he says.

It was a tough night for the Dawgs pitcher CJ Lewington who was roughed up giving up six runs in 4.1 innings pitched and the Dawgs committed three errors.

Also going yard back in the first inning was Kellan Marruffo hitting a two run blast that would tie the game quickly up at two.

The Dawgs are back at it again at Seaman Stadium Friday as they face another tough division foe ahead of them in the standings in the Medicine Hat who won a defensive battle against Okotoks 2-0 on Wednesday.

Mildenberg says it come down to work at the plate to make it two in a row.

"We gotta have good at bats, throwing strikes and playing defence that's all we have to do."

The Dawgs improved their record to 7-6.

Game time Saturday is set for 7:05 p.m.
