Not to long ago I met a lady who was in a wheel chair awaiting her lovely Grand Daughters wedding

at George Lane Park.  Although I have met a number of people over the years this lady was particularly

charming to me because she heard my voice off in the distance and knew that it was the voice on AM

1140 and Tradio.  Her daughter Deb mentioned in a note to me yesterday that Mrs. Henderson was a

listener of Tradio and that made me smile.  I was so humbled and appreciative that day when Mrs.

Henderson said, "I know that voice you are on the radio Charlie Brown".  I still remember that day when

I struggle to get up when the alarm rings at 4:30am week days.  I often think of Mrs. Henderson and her

words to motivate me down the road for the day.  When a lonely DJ sits in a booth at 6am looking at

a wall for inspiration He thinks of wonderful people like Mrs. Henderson and the loneliness of a morning

on the radio at 6am goes away and the smile comes out.
