Black Diamond bull rider Tyler Thomson pulled the plug on his rodeo career this past year.

He says he has some plans for the future and many involve staying in the sport in some capacity.

He says he couldn't just walk away.

"I don't know, some guys do. And it's kind of sad to see. Guys that put so much into rodeo and then when they do retire, they just walk away and you never hear from them again. I don't want to be one of those guys. I've been around rodeo my whole life. I love rodeo. And I want to be there to help build it, keep it strong and make it stronger."

Thomson is a two time Canadian Bull Riding Champion.
