It's time to PLAY BALL!

Reigning champions of the Western Canadian Baseball League, the Okotoks Dawgs are set for another incredible summer and have pulled out all the fan favs from last season and added a few features to keep the energy high all season long!

Returning this year is the classic annual Father's Day, Canada Day and Wear Pink in the Park games.

As well, Seaman Stadium will be home to the 2023 WCBL All-star Game and Home Run Derby. Scheduled for Saturday, July 15th the day will feature former MLB standout, Matt Stairs along with various baseball celebrities. 

What's New for the Fans!

Boasting an updated pre-ordering system, new field and stadium boards and backstops and bigger sound they have a few new eye-catching features.

Pergolas have been installed on all hospitality patios within the stadium premises. Among these is the renowned Kore 4 (+14) Corner, where fans can relish the game while basking in the comforts provided by the new pergolas.

One of the most anticipated attractions is the iconic Dawgs Beach Bar, situated on the Anthem Patio. This beach-inspired bar promises to be a hotspot for fans seeking a relaxed and enjoyable experience.

The Dawgs Baseball Club will also introduce the Golden Sombrero Cantina on the Fortis Alberta Patio as well as a new draught bar topping up fans with local brews.

The Roster!

Once again, the Dawgs roster will showcase a formidable lineup of exceptional Canadian and American athletes hailing from renowned universities and colleges across the United States. Among the returning players are some of the brightest stars in the league.

Back again this year is Ricardo Sanchez (Lamar University in Texas), who garnered the prestigious title of WCBL MVP during the previous season, Brendan Lutherr (Bellevue, NEB) who was crowned Playoff MVP, Matt Wilkinson from Arizona State, who was honoured with the Pitcher of the Year award as well as Alejandro Cazorla, a standout talent from Bossier Parish Community College in Louisiana.

Heading up the coaching staff is Head Coach Lou Pote (Los Angeles Angels, Dawgs Academy), Bench Coach David Robb (Mesa CC, AZ), Assistant Coach Andy Peterson (Linn-Benton CC, ORE) and Pitching Coach Joe Sergent (Florida Marlins, Okotoks Dawgs).

The opening weekend will run Friday, May 26th at 7:05 p.m. and Sunday, May 28th at 2:05 p.m.
