The High River Flyers fought the good fight last night, Friday November 1st,  in Medicine Hat but came away with a loss.

The Flyers got off to a great start, up 2-nothing in a the first period before the Cubs notched a goal to close out the first 20 minutes.

In the third period it was all knotted up at 3 before the Cubs scored a couple and then added an empty netter to seal the win.

 

The Flyers are back on the ice tonight, Saturday November 2nd, in Didsbury facing off against the Mountainview Colts.

 

Then they're back in the familiar home rink at the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex for a Sunday afternoon matinee.

It's the annual 'Fight Cancer Game' as the team will wear special jersey's which will be auctioned off after the game.

The Flyers face the Strathmore Wheatland Kings with a start time of 3:00 p.m.

 

And in other Heritage B Junior Hockey action the Lomond Lakers finally got their first win of the season.

They squeaked out a 5-4 OT win versus the Stettler Lightning.

 

And the Okotoks Bisons added another one to their winning streak.  They trounced the Coaldale Copperheads 6-3 and remain undefeated this season with a 13-0 record.
