Both High River's Jason Glass and Okotoks Mark Sutherland are in the top 10 after night one of racing at Guy Weadick days in High River.

Sutherland was fourth on the night, while Glass was seventh.

Glass says anytime you're in the top 10 to start, you're in good shape.

"It's nice to have a good clean start to the races. My horses started and turned really smooth and we were outside of Gary Gorst and they ran hard, so I was very pleased with them. Gorst had a fast time and we were right on his end gate so yeah, they worked great."

Glass moves to barrel three Friday and then barrel four Saturday and says if he can keep close, or gain a little time he'll be in good shape to take a run at the aggregate title when he lines up on barrel number one on Sunday.

High River's Jordie Fike, who's hooked with Glass in heat six, crushed a barrel, dropping him to 33rd, while Dayton Sutherland was penalty free in heat number one, but finished 31st.

Kirk Sutherland had the fast time of the night, followed by Gary Gorst and John Walters.

The Wagons are back on the track Friday, June 22 starting at 7 o'clock.
