STEVENS, Francis “Alvin”
1925 – 2014

Passed away peacefully on Friday January 17th, 2014, at the High River Hospital. Alvin was born in Blackie, AB and raised on a farm near Mossleigh, AB. When he was finished with farming he moved to Mossleigh and operated the Sunshine Service Station for many years. He was a mechanic, tow truck driver, school bus driver, or whatever was necessary. When the station was sold he operated Mossleigh Equipment with Bob Beagle. When he decided to retire he moved to High River, AB. He lived in a few different places before he finally moved to the High River Hospital second floor. He enjoyed his search a word and jigsaw puzzles.

Alvin is survived by many nieces and nephews Linda (Marvyn) Frey of Calgary, David  Stevens of Okotoks, Robert (Jackie) Beagle of Mossleigh, Gary (Barb) Beagle of Calgary, Shirley Beagle of Calgary, Tom (Sherry) Frank of Twin Falls Idaho and Ken Frank of Havre Montana.

He was predeceased by his parents Chauncey and Grace Stevens, his sister Bernice, brother Leonard and sister Helen. Now the family will be together again in heaven.

The family wishes to thank all of the wonderful staff on the second floor of the High River Hospital. Over the years they took very good care of him.

A funeral service will be held at the Highwood Memorial Centre(Rotary Room) on Saturday January 25th, 2014, at 2pm.
