This Weekend I attended Spock Days in Vulcan. Vulcan is a small town about 45 minutes south-east of High River.

(Three brothers enjoying Jolly Rancher suckers at the Family Fun Fair.)

They are widely known for their connection to Star Trek, in which their Town is named after Mr. Spock’s home planet.

Throughout the day there were many events for all ages to participate in.

I started my day in the Spock Days Parade that triumphed throughout the downtown core.

After that, I checked out their little market in the downtown.

The Town of Vulcan also has a great amount of unique small businesses.

This made me think that a shopping day in Vulcan would be definitely worth the trip!

Afterwards, I headed to the Rodeo Grounds where the Family Fun Fair was held during the afternoon.

This fair included many “Boot camp” style inflatable bouncy structures for the kids.

Additionally, in true Vulcan fashion the carnival games at the fair were all made to be Star Trek themed.

This is where I spent the majority of my day since it seemed to be the epicentre of activity.

With this, I was surrounded by the Virginia Mitchell Baseball Fields where a tournament including 24 different teams was underway.

All in all, the Town of Vulcan is a Southern Albertan gem and I encourage you to check it out!
