The High River Flyers handed out their last two team awards for the season Friday, April 17 over social media.

The team named Mason Hart as their top defensive forward.

Hart had four goals and 14 assists in 35 games with the Flyers this season, but was used primarily in the defensive zone, where Coach Colten Hayes says he excelled.

And the team's final award, the Most Valuable Player, went to Layne Sniher.

Sniher had 17 goals and 46 assists in just 26 games for the Flyers this past season.

He had another six goals and eight helpers in the playoffs.
