Pajamas, a love story, singing and dancing, are all coming together to make for a magical experience at Highwood High School.

The Pajama Games was awarded a Tony in 1955 for best musical and out of three choices was the pick on the Musical Theatre students for this years grand production.

They started off in September reading through three plays and are now just days away from performing it for the public.

"I love to see the whole process come together," said teacher and director Mike Deurbrouck.

"They are nervous right now. We have two more dress rehearsals and a couple things in the second act to smooth out."

He added the cast as a whole has come together and he can feel the energy building as the performance dates draw near.

"The leads are confident and ready to go."

Hannah Martin plays Babe Williams and John Bayona is Sid Sorokin.

Sorokin is the new supervisor at the Sleep-Tite pajama factory and Williams is the worker in charge of the union grievance committee, when the workers strike for 7 1/2 cents their is conflict between management and a battle of the sexes.

Performances are at Highwood High School on February. 1 and 2 at 7 p.m. and February. 4 at 2 and 7 p.m.
