One local hockey player will dawn Canada's Red and White at the 2016 Women's U-18 World Championships.

Millarville's Malia Schneider will be on Canada's back-end when the tournament in St. Catherines, Ontario.

Schneider currently plays for Pursuit of Excellence Hockey Academy in Kelowna, B.C.

In the 2014-15 season Schneider registered 12 goals and 14 assists in 30 games.

Earlier this fall Schneider was a part of Hockey Canada's U-18 development camp in Calgary where she earned the priviledge play for the U-18's.

The U-18 Championships run from January 8th to the 15th.
