Cochrane RCMP advised motorists that police were diverting traffic on Highway 1 West of Cochrane on Monday, April 1.
They were requesting people seek alternative routes.
This is in response to the Carbon Tax Rally that began at 8 a.m.
Initially, Cochrane RCMP warned of travel delays at the intersection of Highway 1 and Highway 22, where the rally was occurring.
Cochrane RCMP thanked the public for their cooperation, and we said the rally ended in the 7 p.m. hour.
