High River council held the longest public hearing in anyone's memory Monday night.
It involved changes to the proposed area structure plan for development south of 12-th avenue.
The major sticking point was the effect of extending 5th street through Sheppard Family Park.
Many of those who spoke against the plan cited concerns about maintaining the integrity of the park, water quality downstream from the little bow to protecting the Northern Leopard Frog.
