A tornado warning couldn't drag these horses away and it sure didn't stop the chucks last night in Ponoka, and by the time things got underway some good times still came in.

Rookie driver Cody Fraser was the money winner and his time was 6 one-hundredths of a second faster than that of High Rivers Jason Glass.

Glass placed second in the third performance.

High Rivers Jordie Fike came out in the top five of the night.

In the race for top 8 "The Hound" Codey Mccurrach lead the overall aggregate putting him 20-one hundtedths of a second ahead of Okotoks Mark Sutherland.

The top 8 in the aggregate after tonights run will head into the semi-final round tomorrow.

The top 4 times from tomorrows heats will go into the $50,000 Tommy Dorchester sudden death championship final heat where the winner will be the 2016 Ponoka Stampede Champ.
