Two men's scores saw the Mark Nichols/Brad Gushue Newfoundland rink give Brad Jacobs his first loss of the tournament 5-4.

While defending Masters Champion Mike McEwan fell to Reid Carruthers 7-5.

Draw Eight gets underway at 4 p.m.

On the ice will be Saskatoon's Steve Laycock against John Shuster and Brenden Bottcher of Edmonton faces Niklas Edin of Sweden.

An all Canadian match-up will have Jennifer Jones locking horns with Chelsea Carey.

Anna Sidrova battles Allison Flaxey and Val Sweeting goes up against Silvana Tirinzoni.
