The 64th annual Little Britches Parade got underway right on time again this year at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday in downtown High River.

The event put on by the High River Rotary Club had spectators securing their spot along the parade route well in advance.

With well over 100 entries - floats and cars and marching bands - the crowd had a lot to look forward to along the route.

Here's a photo gallery of the first part of the parade.  The link to the second gallery can be found here too.

And another photo gallery will follow including the other events that happened after the parade, including the Inclusion Foothills Spring Market, the mini car show and shine and a trick roper as well as a performance at the Venue.

Unfortunately, due to the excessive smoky conditions from the wildfires in northern Alberta drifting down south and getting thicker by the hour the marching bands were unable to perform in George Lane Park for the Battle of the Bands.
