Just two days after wrapping up Guy Weadick Days, the chucks are back on the track Tuesday night in Ponoka for the Stampede.

High River Champ Mark Sutherland says he's getting hot at the right time with the two biggest shows of the season in the Ponoka and Calgary Stampede's back to back.

But, the Okotoks area reignsman says  "to be the man. you've got to beat the man."

"I want to beat Kurt Bensmiller. He's the guy to beat. He's won everything in the last two years. He's the guy to beat. And if you outrun Kurt Bensmiller every night, you're not only going to be the World Champion, you're going to be the Calgary Stampede Champion, you'll probably be the Ponoka champion."

Sutherland sit's 10th in the World Driver Standings, with Vern Nolin on top, Kurt Bensmiller in second and High River's Jason Glass in third.

The chucks run through to Sunday's $50,000 "Dash for Cash" final.
