The British Columbia Hockey League's (BCHL) Okotoks Oilers are in full playoff mode while they look to try and solidify the coveted third overall spot in the standings. They are currently in a battle with the Blackfalds Bulldogs for third place in the standings and for a bye into the second round.

Friday (March 8) will see the top-seeded Brooks Bandits take on the Green and Gold at Okotoks Centennial Arena. Brooks has had the better of Okotoks so far since the move to the BCHL, winning all four games they have played against each other. Friday will mark the second last meeting between the Oilers and Bandits in the regular season. The final regular season game between the two will be played on March 31.

Jack Silverberg aims to continue his hot streak; he has three goals in the past two games. One of those came in the last game against the Brooks Bandits on March 2. Silverberg is also leading the team in points since the transition from the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL), with 12 points in 10 games. Silverberg also won the Alberta Division Player of the Week from the BCHL.

Oilers will look to the Green Army faithful to help cheer them on in their final playoff push Friday night at 7:00.
