The Okotoks Oilers have confirmed the end of their 2020-2021 season.

It was a rough season for the Oilers, with COVID cases in their or other team's cohorts keeping them out of the action since late March.

Positive cases in late March and then again in late April largely kept Okotoks out of the action.

When they were able to hit the ice, they made their presence known, ending the season at 7-1-0.

In the release, they thanked everyone involved, from players to staff, to volunteers, to families, and say they're now looking ahead to the 2021-2022 season.

A handful of AJHL teams still have a few games to go, with six games scheduled for this weekend.
