The Town of Okotoks has some festivities planned for Alberta Day.

They've prepared an "Alberta Day in the Park" with food and free entertainment at the Arts And Learning Plaza and Ethel Tucker Park.

Starting at 4:00 p.m., they'll have the "Family Fry Guy" and "The Mini Donut Factory" food trucks on site.

The town will be screening a double feature of "Made in Alberta" movies.

First, they'll be showing Jumanji: The Next Level (2019) at 6:00 p.m., followed by RV at 8:15 p.m.

Those taking part in the Alberta Day festivities are encouraged to bring a chair and/or blanket.

Alberta Day is a celebration of the province's history, culture, achievements, and opportunities. It's celebrated on September 1 to coincide with the day Alberta became a province on September 1st, 1905.
