The number one and number two teams from the Heritage B Junior Hockey League south division are going head-to-head for the title.

The Okotoks Bisons finished the year tops in the HJHL with an astonishing record of 35 wins and only 3 losses. The Medicine Hat Cubs also had a solid year finishing second overall with 27 wins, 8 losses and 3 overtime loses.

The Bisons and Cubs had a bye in the first round with the Bisons taking out Strathmore in only four games in a south division semi-final while it took the Cubs six games to dispatch the Cochrane Generals.

Both teams now face off for the south division finals in a best-of-seven series.

With the Herd having home ice advantage the series kicks off in Okotoks at the Murray arena this Wednesday.
