The Okotoks Oilers came out on top Friday, April 5, beating the Brooks Bandits 3-2 in game 5 of their AJHL best of seven series.

The Oilers are still down a win 2-3.

It was a very evenly matched game, the Oilers had 30 shots on the Bandits netminder, while the Bandits returned fire with 27 shots.

The Oilers opened the scoring with a goal with 2 minutes left on the clock in the first period.

The Bandits struck back with 2 goals in the second period.

The Oilers pulled themselves up by their bootstraps scoring twice in the third period, taking the win.

Oilers goalie Brady Parker was named star of the game saving 25 of the 27 shots the Bandits took.

Game six is in Okotoks Sunday, April 7 at 7 PM.
