A big 4-3 win for the Okotoks Oilers Wednesday, December 14, in Calgary over the Canucks, as they take over second spot in the AJHL's South Division.

Oilers forward, Regan Doig, who scored his first goal of the season to give the Oilers the early lead, says any win over a division rival is a good win.

"It's huge for the boys. You can't go wrong, your 4-and-0 against a rival. It's a great win for us, we just have to keep it going here."

Jacob Bernard, Trey Degraaf and Carson Beers were the other Oilers goal scorers.

Newcomer, Jordan Xavier, who came over from the Calgary Mustangs in a trade from the weekend made his presence felt as he assisted on a pair of goals.

The Oilers trail the first place Brooks Bandits by nine points.

They're in Canmore Friday, December 16, home to the Bonnyville Pontiacs, Saturday, December 17, and then wrap up the first half of the season Tuesday, December 20, at home against the Calgary Mustangs.
