The Okotoks Oilers had their four game winning streak snapped with a 2-1 shoot-out loss to the league leading Brooks Bandits Tuesday, October 22, in Okotoks.

Dylan James staked the Oilers to a 1-0 lead late in the first period, with the Oilers holding on until 4:09 of the third, when the Bandits would tie it up.

Overtime solved nothing, and it took until the seventh round of shooters before the Bandits could put one past Oilers netminder and AJHL Defensive Player of the Week, Ashton Abel.

The Bandits lead the Oilers by four points for top spot in the AJHL's South Division.

The Oilers are home to the Olds Grizzlys and Camrose Kodiaks this weekend.
