The Okotoks Oilers snuck out a 4-3 overtime win over the Canmore Eagles at home Friday night.

Forward Tanner Laderoute put the Oilers ahead 3-2 in the second period and says despite massively out shooting the Eagles they just couldn't put them away.

"We're getting close but we couldn't seem to find the net or finish plays off. I think we dominated them pretty well. We just couldn't finish. We were holding them down defensively too. They just got a couple of lucky bounces."

The Oilers head to Drumheller to play a home and home series with the Dragons starting tonight and wrapping up holiday Monday back in Okotoks.
