The Okotoks Oilers hosted a north division contender in the Bonnyville Pontiacs last night at home.

The Oilers started strong grabbing a pair of goals midway through the first frame.

An early tally from Oilers Jack Works helped them take the lead into the first intermission at 2-0.

The Pontiacs struck back in the second period evening the score at 2-2.

Costly penalties from the Oilers early in the third ended up costing the Oilers, the Pontiacs went up 5-2 on a pair of power-play goals.

A late empty-net goal from Bonnyville sealed the deal with the final score being 6-2 for the Pontiacs.

Jack Works picks up the Home Star for the Oilers.

Lucas Thorne of the Pontiacs grabbed the Away Star picking up a goal and an assist to help his team get the win off the Oil.

 

The Oilers host the Whitecourt Wolverines next.
