The Okotoks Oilers sent the hometown fans home happy Tuesday, November 8, with a 3-2 overtime win over the Canmore Eagles.

Trey Degraaf got the winner for the Oilers in the extra frame on a break-a-way.

He says the boys put in a full 60 minutes.

"We were happy with the game. We knew that if we kept playing, that we had to get a bounce sooner or later. We got up 2-1 there, and then they tied it up and we didn't fall through anything, we kept going and obviously got the job done in overtime."

Tanner Laderoute had the other Oilers goals on the night.

It's now back on the road for the Oilers as they open a four game road trip Saturday, November 12, in Brooks against the Bandits.
