The Town of High River is planning to sell 14 homes in the northwest it just got back from the province.

The homes are on Riverside Drive and High View Park.

The sales will start in mid-April using a sealed bid process.

The Town will make things like sales packages, dates for open houses, details about the sealed bid process and starting bid prices and a schedule for the sales of the properties available at the end of March.

Each house has had the repairs needed to remedy the presence of water and will need varying degrees of work once they're returned to private ownership.

The province took over the homes after the 2013 flood even though they sustained only minor damage.

The Town bought them back from the province for $3.68 million.
