Christ The Redeemer Catholic Schools (CTR) recently welcomed four new principals to schools in the Foothills.

On April 11, Jamie Leidl was announced to have accepted the position as principal of John Paul II Collegiate.

Leidl previously spent 18 years at Holy Trinity Academy as a teacher and vice principal, before joining St. Francis of Assisi Academy as principal in 2022.

Just a couple of weeks later on April 24, CTR announced three new principals.

That included Lindsay Avramovic, who will be stepping into the role at St. Francis of Assisi Academy following Leidl's transition.

She served as vice principal at Our Lady of the Snows in Canmore before joining St. Francis of Assisi in the same role in 2022.

Both of Okotoks' Catholic elementary schools also welcomed new principals.

Melissa Baxter was announced as the new principal of École Good Shepherd School, where she started her teaching career with CTR in 2004. Since then she's taught at Holy Trinity Academy and St. John Paul II Collegiate, before assuming the role of vice principal at HTA.

St. Mary's School is also welcoming a new principal, Shari Gustafson. Her work with CTR has taken her to Holy Trinity Academy and St. Mary's where she was vice principal before accepting the new role.
